Calm Down People, Here’s Proof The Video Of A ‘UFO’ Attacking A Taliban Base Is 100-Percent Fake

It’s fake. Despite the Daily Mail’s intriguing report headlined, “What is this mysterious aircraft filmed ‘blitzing Taliban base in Afghanistan’? Footage shows ‘UFO’ blasting terrorists’ encampment”, we can indeed confirm this is not the case. From HuffPo UK, ”As reassuring as it is to suppose the little green men have decided to join us in fighting terror, we’re inclined to suspect the film simply shows a drone in action.” It isn’t a UAV X-47B, it isn’t anything.

In the Daily Mail story, Damien Gayle says, “If the unidentified aircraft is from outer space, it has come at the right time for the Westnern-backed government of Afghanistan.” Yeah, nope. Not only is the video fake, but the original looks to be from Iraq and was likely filmed in 2005 or 2006 according according to Geoffrey Ingersoll, Managing Editor of Marinecorpstimes.com.

Let’s illustrate. The first “hello obvious!” clue is the uploader. Youtube account that uploaded it pretty much only posts edited UFO attack videos. So, there’s that.

Here’s a gif of the video currently going around:

The video is inverted and the soldiers voices are edited out and the UFO is edited in.
